Tour The Hill Boulder offers private, customizable CU Boulder tours led by current students, covering both campus and off-campus life in Boulder.
When families visit CU Boulder, they usually start with the official campus tour. At Tour The Hill Boulder, we add the rest of the story.
We offer private, customizable CU Boulder tours led by current students who know what life in Boulder is really like. Our tours go beyond campus to include the places students actually spend their time, including the Hill, off-campus neighborhoods, Greek life areas, restaurants, and popular student spots around Boulder. However you want to experience Boulder, we have a way to help.
Signature Private Tour
Our core offering is a private, current-student-led tour of The Hill, campus, and Boulder, priced at $150 flat for any group size, from one student to a whole extended family. Every tour is tailored to the group. Some families want a traditional campus-focused experience with extra insight from a current student. Others want to see off-campus housing, social areas, fraternity and sorority houses, or the parts of Boulder that help students understand what everyday life here really feels like.
Ask a Buff: One on One Video Call
Not in Boulder yet, or not ready to travel? Ask a Buff is a 30 minute video call with a current CU student for $50. It is built for prospective, admitted, transfer, and out-of-state students and families who want honest, real answers about student life, academics, housing, the social scene, and how to make a confident decision about CU. It is the fastest way to get a current student's perspective from anywhere in the country.
Boulder VIP Experience
For families who want the complete picture, the Boulder VIP Experience is a full-day, fully tailored private tour at $2,000. It can cover Greek life, hikes, dining, housing, and anything else that helps a student picture their life here. This is the deepest, most personal look at Boulder we offer.
CU Boulder 101 Webinar (Coming Soon)
We are launching a free CU Boulder 101 webinar for students and families who want an inside look at student life without leaving home. It is a live, current-student walkthrough of what makes CU and Boulder special, with time for real questions. Dates are not set yet, so keep an eye out and register when they go live. It is a great no-pressure first step, especially for out-of-state families.
