What Tour The Hill Boulder is all about
Tour The Hill Boulder is a student-led tour company designed to give visitors an authentic look at life at the University of Colorado Boulder. While traditional campus tours often focus mainly on academic buildings and university history, we show you both campus and the places beyond it that shape the real student experience.
Our tours are led by real CU students who live, eat, study, and make memories here. We offer a perspective that goes beyond the brochure by showing guests not only the university itself, but also the surrounding parts of Boulder that play such a major role in student life. That can include areas like The Hill, Pearl Street, Chautauqua, student housing areas, local food spots, Greek life, and other popular off-campus destinations that help visitors understand what it actually feels like to live here.
One of our biggest advantages is that our tours are private, customizable, and personal. We can absolutely show families and students around campus itself, but we also have the flexibility to go beyond campus and tailor the experience to what each guest wants to see most. Whether someone is interested in academics, housing, Greek life, food, student hotspots, or the overall feel of Boulder, we can shape the tour around that. We believe that kind of authentic and personalized experience gives guests a much clearer picture of what life at CU Boulder can really look like.
We started Tour The Hill Boulder because we felt too many prospective students, families, and visitors were missing an important part of the story. Seeing campus matters, but so does seeing where students spend their time outside of class, where they live, where they meet people, where they explore, and where their college memories are actually made. Our goal is to help people understand not just what CU Boulder looks like, but what it feels like.
In addition to private tours for families and individuals, we also offer group tours for organizations and larger communities. That can include partnerships with alumni groups, admitted student programs, CU Boulder staff and departments, graduate programs, fraternity and sorority organizations, and community partners such as IFC on The Hill. We are able to create customized group experiences based on the audience, their interests, and the type of visit they are looking for.
Each tour includes the opportunity to ask questions, hear honest student perspectives, and get real insight from people who have gone through the CU experience themselves. Whether you are a future student, parent, alumnus, or community member, our mission is to help you feel more informed, more confident, and more connected to Boulder.
We believe that seeing Boulder through the eyes of current students makes all the difference. We are proud to provide tours that are authentic, customizable, private, and rooted in real experience.
